Mansour bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud
Prince Mansour bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud (1336/1918-1369/2 May 1951), former Minister of defence and aviation in Saudi Arabia. Is the eighth son of King Abdul Aziz’s sons. And his mother is Princess martyr of Armenian descent.
He studied at the Princes school and learn to read and write and memorize Qur’aan. In the year 1351 e participated with his father in the battle of Jizan. A sample of his father King Abdel Aziz, Minister of Defense and the army, and during his Ministry placed the development plans for the military sector, the foundations of the military barracks in the Hejaz and Nejd and Asir and was sent several military personnel abroad for study and training, bringing modern machines, the number of participants in the Saudi army quickly so the two became military army estimated by 20,000, and developed a system of bonuses and salaries in all military sectors with the participation of State finances. During his some army units participated in the 1948 Palestine war.
In the year 1369 Ah 1951 traveled with his brothers Faisal and Khaled to Paris, and after the plane landed in the parlor and died of sudden death.
